Starting January 2010 North Carolina will be a non-smoking state. That’s why I suggest you avoid the state until that time if you care about your health and the health of your family. The people of North Carolina are the type that will stop on the road and help you change a tire but only recently passed the smoking ban. I thought that was odd and contradictory.
Anyway, you can now visit North Carolina and enjoy any restaurant or bar without having to suffer due to the bad habit and weakness of another person.

As a long-time NC resident, the no-smoking ban is one of the best decisions made. There’s nothing worse than trying to enjoy a meal while choking on these fumes wafting through the restaurant. Finally, going out to eat means tasting one’s food not someone else’s smoke!
