Memorial Day

Memorial Day is the unofficial beginning of summer, it’s a great time for a short vacation, and it’s the perfect time of year for family and friend get-togethers. But most importantly it’s a time to remember the men and women that have served and are presently serving the United States. These are the people that have made it possible to do the things listed in the opening sentence of this post. This is a fun weekend – as it should be – but it’s still important to take a few moments to reflect on why we celebrate Memorial Day in the first place.
