Georgia Hiking Trails

There are many hiking trails in Georgia – from short hikes to long hikes that start in Georgia and end in Maine. Georgia cities are filled with parks that offer safe and manicured trails that are perfect for short hikes and walks. The coastal Georgia area offers miles of natural beaches and pristine areas that are wonderful escapes for hikers. Then there are the mountains of North Georgia where you can find trail after trail after trail. From the popular Ravens Cliff Trail, near Helen, to the Appalachian Trail that starts at Springer Mountain and winds north for over 70 miles into North Carolina where it continues from state to state all the way to Maine.
If you are looking for hiking trails in Georgia there are several good hiking trail guides that detail the best hikes in Georgia. My favorite is Hiking Trails of North Georgia by Tim Homan. I enjoy this book so much that I keep it in my truck so that I’ll always have it with me for reference.
